When I was in New York, I braved the cramped conditions of the Marc Jacobs knick knack store (the cheap one for souvenirs!) to buy some keyrings for presents... I have to say it's an unpleasant experience! Last time I went to one of these stores, it was the Marc by Marc in London last year... newly opened, spacious and friendly.
However in New York the shop assistants treat you with contempt- that is if you can even make it to the counter! It is an EXTREME SQUEEZE in there.
Whilst buying my keyrings, something weird happened. I saw a bracelet and I bought it. I don't know how much thought I put into it, and perhaps I was affected by the crowds and the intensity of the store...
when I arrived home to find this in my suitcase, I was horrified!!
Seriously, I bought the most ugly bracelet I have ever seen in my life.
I've tried to justify it.. maybe it's gaudiness is cool... hmmm... The gemstones are great, if you got rid of the cameo and blue diamontes... hmmm.....
it's even missing a gemstone!?
There is no way to justify this monstrosity, Marc Jacobs you were slightly bananas when you ticked this one off!

You got caught up it the madness of it all...don't sweat it I do that all the time. You are at your most vulnerable when in a foreign territory!
