Christmas Card 2012

This year I made a Christmas tree costume from Felt & - voila!

Freddy makes a great prop!

Bonne Noel!

Enough, mum!

Oh, and! Freddy is now 9 months....

DIY Christmas Favors - the leftovers

With my leftover baubles I made a 1st Christmas ornament for the Newlyweds.

And baubles for the babies in my Mothers Group, all of Freddy's lil mates..

And of course, lil Archie.
Coincidentally he was wearing the same suit the day it arrived for him..

Christmas Baubles

Much to my delight I just did a little job painting Christmas Baubles for a PR Company's top clients.

What a delight this would be to do for a living!

Well. seasonal sure.. but crafting at home & BEING PAID = too good to be true!

Freddy played on the floor whilst I painted.  The only downside- our family has been covered in glitter for the last couple of weeks. Including LPs in the office! hehe.

So the baubles come from Riot Art & Craft, and are filled with various beads, sequins & pearls.

These are truly the most versatile decortation, I could think of so many ways to use them!
(In particular as wedding bonboneirie.. I had a vision of light blue painted sticks as table centrepieces, with these hanging down. One for each guest...sweet! Oh well, bit late for us!)

Here's some trials.

Mini milestones

Today is the lil man's 8 month birthday.

Not sure about the vision for your photoshoot, mum!

It's gone so fast, and yet feels like we've had him forever!

Suddenly in the last few days there's been a whole new set of brain connections going on.. all the small things you never think about (and probably won't notice for subsequent children!) .. such as picking things up, sitting and playing, looking for things when they go out of sight.   So I thought I'd post some of his recent milestones. (as small as they may be!)

We got back from Thailand on the weekend.  To say we're exhausted is an understatement (after a holiday, great way to be! :| )  Anyways this was Freddy's first holiday, and to take his first holiday he needed....

Freddy's first Passport!

"Watch out World!!"

Freddy's first flight - Melb to Bangkok

Of course the baby bassinet is way too small to be much more than a playpen for this big bubbah!

Freddy's first Fathers Day.. he dressed as King Freddy, Ruler of the House!

Freddy sat up for the first time

Teething pains.. currently at 2 + 1 broken gum. Sleepless nights to follow..

He turrned 7 months, around the time he was pulling this psychotic face full time!  FULL TIME!!
There were few moments of the day when he wasn't.

& here we are.. 8 months!

Dream Dress Torture!

It's fair to say that I didn't get married in my "dream dress" .. given that I went through so many dresses, and ended up wearing the first thing I'd bought. *Sigh*

So it drives me bonkers when I see DREAM DRESSES come out, season after season, torturing me with their perfection!

There is nothing I would have loved more (well, this season anyways!) for my simple registry ceremony.  Teamed with the enormous flower headpiece I wore, this is kind of perfection....

Happy .5 Birthday!

Don't ask me how, but I've been counting Freddy's age all wrong. Uh.. yup!

I did a little birthday photoshoot excitedly last week, on 8th Aug.... when Freddy isn't 6 months old until August 22nd.  Strange mistake on my part!

So it seems I got to throw a little Freddy & friends birthday for his roughly 5 1/2 month birthday, under the guise of 6 months.

Minutae- who cares right!? PARTY yipee!!!!
