Crafting: Cat Cushions

For some reason I was thinking last night about how awesome it would be to have my cats in two places at once. Because LPs is allergic, and because we don't have the right setup, the cats stayed with my mum when I moved out. So I came up with a simple solution- make cuddly cat cushions so they can be with me all the time.

I made Tinkerbelle's last night. I am pretty happy with the result.

Today she spent some time in the garden doing what she does best.

For example, sitting in the tree looking vacant..

Or, sitting in the garden, looking vacant..

Gizmo is a much more masculine, lion-like cat that OOZES personality (yes, it's pretty weird personality, but he's oozing it nonetheless!) Today is a wintery Sunday so I started on his cushion wuite happpily whilst watching Short Circuit with Lps.

Hopefully have him finished tonight!

Olsen Sunday

Painty painty Sunday.

My friend has bought a house.. in which there is no "stuff".
A completely foreign concept to me, as one of my major struggles is clutter. I have SO much stuff, and am constantly accumulating (and constantly throwing out)
For me it takes zero time for me to be claustrophobic with all manner of "stuff" again!

So, I painted her this Olsen this morning called "The Edge, 2002" to get more "stuff" on the wall!

It's cheeky to plaigerise (or "innuendo") however it's a quick fix for a bare wall. And afterall, imitation is the best form of flattery... don't think Olsen has much to worry about!

Inspiration - Projects & Pretties

I showed LPs and he was quite confused, to say the least!

wedding invitation pack

I think they're almost done!

(After much mind- changing, and resigning myself to the fact I would have time to be making elaborate pop out cards, or mock Golden story book invitations)

My wedding invite Postcard pack... based on cameos of Nick and I.
I wanted to include a tactile element, so the invitations are made from fabric covered card, and all the postcards are backed with fabric.

I went to so many hardware shops to find one that had the red and white twine.

I'm pleased with the outcome, and itching to get them sent out!!!!

My camera is simply saying no to focus lately (it likes to set itself on macro, and mess up all my pics!) so excuse the fuzzyness.

Eggs for Easter 2010

This year I had a revelation... polystyerine eggs! Normally I paint hard boiled eggs once a year for Easter Gifts. I think this could be a great thing.. here's the ones I've done for my mum... early I know!
