My Amazing new friend... RUMPOL!!

WOW OH WOW OH WOW.

Lps and I were driving home from the city when out of my periphery I spotted an Exotic Shorthair on the side of the road. I applied the brakes hard (much to LP's fright) and we jumped out to have a look (my insistence). This was because I LOVE breeds of cat with smooshed up faces, and being a pure breed, you rarely see them outside- this was a unique opportunity afterall ;)

When we got closer I realised his eyes were all pussy and infected (in fact I was scared to touch him), he was filthy, had spurs in his fur, and matted & muddy feet. Lps thought he must be a stray, but given he was wearing a collar, we thought he must be just lost. I tried calling his owner, no response, so i picked him up and walked him home so I could take him to the vet.

He settled in with aplomb! Straight away he was sashaying around the house, being super cute. SO MUCH PERSONALITY! I totally fell in love with him. I called him RUMPOL. I tried cleaning up his eyes, but he got a bit shirty when I did it, so I left him be. I fed him a platter of ham, smoked trout + roast chicken, and he gobbled the lot down as though he hadn't eaten in a week!

Such a cute little baby.... he hung out with us all afternoon. I reported him at the pound, and tried calling his owner all afternoon. Finally I get through, and it's this dotty old lady around the corner! (we actually picked the kitty up from outside her own house! And He was actually a she)

The old lady says she gets calls all the time from people who pick her up..
BECAUSE SHE IS IN SUCH BAD CONDITION - DUH!?!?

She looks neglected. When she was rolling around on her back, even her tummy was all dirty and matted I tried explaining to her that I only picked her up because of the condition, and made a point of this, but she seemed oblivious to what i was saying and kept apologising for the bother of the cat being at our house.

She trotted back with us around the corner like a dog. Such an obedient little thing.

The Launch

Urgh, I think it was a disaster. From all reports the sound mixing was out of control bad. Woke up and it was the very first thing I thought of, and I've been in cringe town since. I don't think we played badly, but the drum mics seemed to be turned off (?), the bass was overpowering everything else, until guitar distortion kicked in- at which point it turned into one big mess of sound. The mixer charged $200, and to top it off he charged an extra 50 for some reason... it must have been his surcharge for making us sound extra terrible.

ANYWAYS... it's hard to say from the stage.. so itChin up, onwards and upwards!

Not to do a double post, but here's the outfit, stuck with what I'd planned..

Check out the crazy mess on the bed, I lost all my energy over the weekend and couldn't manage to clean up until today. Damn the heatwave because I really need to wear tights this weekend..
I love it, but the bizarre drop sleeve means you can see in to my undies + bra! Will need to sort out a slip/ bodysuit solution asap!

Not to forget I FINALLY also bought myself the Alexander Wang Coco Duffle Bag the day before!!! Why do I hold out on the inevitable!?

I bought it online and it should arrive mid next week... I felt sick going to sleep about my terrible spending habits, but now I'm SO EXCITED !!!! woopdiwoopwooop!

We're off to have a bike ride + a picnic on the Yarra !

Roses in bloom.. roses everywhere!
Today when I arrived home from work, there was sunlight streaming through the window. A Very peaceful and lovely way to end the day.
At lunchtime I bouht this Metalicus cardigan, sighting it's versatility as the reason (read: excuse). Im not 100% sure on the neutral colour, but the style is awesome!.. worn open it will look like this...

The See By Chloe dress is a bit of a disaster.. and it's SO low cut in this strange way.. as though there's lots of room for boobs, but then zero elasticity if you needed to get it over your head.
Trying to disguise with Sambag belt; not working.
Sass & Bide Studded Tunic (worn with American Apparel mini for modesty) I've rarely gotten around to wearing it which is a shame.. maybe ive already posted it. Im noticing the brass studs EVERYWHERE. Of course I will never leave the house with my unattractive, pale, bruised bare legs as shown here.
